I Fear For My Flowers

We have had some unseasonably nice weather lately.....Up until today anyway. Nothing slaps you in the face, and ruins your spring planting dreams, like a couple inches of snow.

Another unfortunate side effect of the snow and freezing weather is the impending death. Ok, maybe that's a bit harsh. I should say the possibility of impending death. Death of the flowers that is. I've noticed it all over town- Those poor suckers don't know what season we are in!

All over our yard flowers are emerging from their cozy, underground hibernation, only to be smothered by the cold, wet, malicious snow. If only I could have warned them! If only they would have listened! But, alas, my hyacinths,daises,roses,and tulips may meet an untimely end.

We are expecting a huge temperature change soon -bring on the 50's and 60's! So, there is still hope.
